Rains ISD Mission & Commitment

The mission of the
Board of Trustees of the Rains Independent School
District is to provide a safe and exceptional
education for preparing the children of Rains County
to become contributing members of our changing
society. The commitment to be recognized as one of
the best Class AAA school districts in Texas is
unanimously endorsed by the Board.
A system that can accomplish this mission must be
characterized by quality, equity, and
accountability. Instruction must be provided at the
highest level of quality. Educational opportunities
and resources must be distributed with equity for
all students. The educational system must maintain
accountability for demonstrated results and
continuous improvement. Such a system will have the
vitality to prepare the children for the changes and
the challenges of the future, a future which will
belong to the educated.
To provide guidance in this mission, the Board has
adopted these goals and objectives. With the major
goals established, the Board will continually review
results, define new priorities, and update
objectives and indicators.
In presenting this statement, the members of the
Board encourage all Rains County citizens to join
the challenge of providing truly outstanding schools
for the children and adults of Rains County. |
